We’re compiling footage for a music video, and you’ve been invited to contribute.
There’s a certain joy that comes when you dance like no one is watching. We’re going to try to capture that essence for our upcoming music video.
Your job: do the dancing, film it, and send it to us.
We’ve included some guidelines, but don’t overthink it. We will be doing some editing on our end, so if you briefly stray outside of the guidelines, we’ll fix it.
Generally speaking, we want it to look authentic, and we want each segment of the video to look different than the other videos.
Unique people in their own unique spaces doing their own unique dancing.
-
Set up your camera in a stationary position and ensure good lighting.
Make sure to frame the dancer(s) completely in the shot.
Check any settings needed to ensure high quality video.
-
Anywhere that you feel comfortable with good lighting and that doesn’t break any laws.
-
Dance like no one is watching.
Avoid looking directly at the camera.
Have as much fun as possible.
-
Around 10 to 30 seconds should do it. Any shorter, and the clip might not be usable. Any longer, and the file is too big.
-
We’ll take care of all that. Please don’t add any slo-mo or other effects.
